These are a couple of pictures that he'll hate me for later on in life. =)

Football Sunday!!

Well, our Chargers don't play today so we enjoyed watching the Bengals beat up on the Steelers.
There is a whole story as to why I don't like the Steelers anymore, but we won't go into that right now. =) The Chargers are 2-0 going into their bye week and they play the Baltimore Ravens next week.

We look forward to watching the Chargers play next week on Direct TV!! Since we don't live in San Diego anymore we don't get to see most of their games. So we opted to get Direct TV's NFL Sunday Ticket so we can watch them play every week. They better play good! =)

I wanted to add a couple of pictures that I took today of Miss Bizzle, little Charrito (our nickname for little David) and daddy today.

We also call Isabella miss Crazy hair as you can see from this picture.

Little Charrito

Daddy giving Spike some treats.

Picture of Isabella and David. Sorry it's not to great of a picture but, I wanted to post it anyways since it's one of the only pictures I have of the both of them together.

This picture is for the haters that say they never see pictures of me. This picture isn't the greatest either, because there is too much light in the background. But I know people will ask why there aren't any pictures of me on this site. =)

Today was a good day

Hello everyone! I don't even know if any one bothers to come by this site, so it's kind of like I'm talking to myself. =) It's alright though, it's kind of a cool way to keep our memories down.

Today we decided to connect our Qwest DSL, we previously had Cable America (now Cox) for Cable internet. But we kept having issues with our connection with the cable internet, so we said forget it, just connect the DSL and get it over with. I hesitated in connecting it because I didn't know if it was going to be slower than Cable internet. So far it's just as good. I think I'm just naive about the whole thing since I'm not a techie. It took me half the morning to get it working. =)
We wanted to plan on something to do today since tomorrow is a football day and will most likely be spent indoors. ;-) We wanted to keep it cheap since I'm still unemployed, but hopefully I'll be starting soon, probably back at PacifiCare. I don't mind going back, it feels good that my previous co-workers spoke so highly of me. That was nice of them. Well anyways, enough of my rambling....... I found this web site called Go City Kids, here is the web site : http://www.gocitykids.com. I think I heard of it watching Nickelodeon with Isabella. It's a pretty cool website where you can find things to do in your town with your family or anyone you wish because it lists things for all ages. It's a good tool when you don't know the city that you live in that well because you just moved there or maybe you just never ventured out. =) Well, we ended up going to a place called Amazing Jakes here in Mesa. It's a cool place for kids of all ages to play and eat. It's an all you can eat buffet of Pizza (which happens to be Isabella's favorite food), pasta, salads and desert. Not badly priced either for a buffet. Then you get to play all kinds of arcade games, cosmic bowling (black lights), train ride, carousel, tea cups, bumper cars, go karts and tons of other things to do. Isabella had a blast going on the rides. Here is a picture of her on the carousel with daddy.

The picture isn't that great because I can't use my camera to it's fullest because while we were in Ensenada my camera took a dive to the floor and I didn't even know it until I tried to use it again and I noticed that the LCD screen doesn't work. I need to send it in to Canon to have it fixed. It's not even a year old yet so needless to say I wasn't a happy camper when I found out it was broken. Fortunately the camera still takes pictures, I just can't use the LCD screen.

When we got home today I was looking around the things in my night stand and I found a previous digital camera that we used to use and I found the memory card in it and popped it into my computer and sure enough there were two pictures on there. Here is one of them......

This picture was taken Christmas 2004. This was when Isabella was going through treatment for her Neuroblastoma. She was 19 months old at the time of this picture.

I found some more pictures on another memory card.....

This picture was taken Christmas 2005. What a difference a year makes!!! Isabella is cancer free in this picture. What a beautiful smile!! Her uncle Eric and aunt Carla are in the background.

Isabella making a funny face. 99% of the presents you see behind her are for her!! =) She had a wonderful Christmas thanks to her loving Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. This little girl is definitely loved!

Here is a picture of her uncle Edgar playing with her new Buzz Lightyear and Woody toys. I think he was a little jealous of the gift! hehehe I'm only kidding!

Well, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I hope you all enjoy this site and I promise to keep it up more than I did with the other one. =)

Pictures of our trip to Ensenada - Labor Day Weekend 2006!

Here is a picture of the boys (and girl) when we arrived in Ensenada on Friday, September 1, 2006.

Isabella's first dip in the COLD Pacific Ocean!

She's not too stable on flat land, so needless to say, she took a dip in the water walking on uneven rocks. =)

Isabella & Daddy sitting on the rocks outside our home away from home.

Time to go snorkeling!!

Here is a picture of everyone in the water. Having a good time looking for crabs and some fish for dinner. Unfortunately all they came up with were a couple of Starfish. Don't worry, we tossed them back in. =)

Picture of the scenery....

Relaxing after a long day of snorkeling.

3 generations of David. =)

Blog - New to this whole thing, so please be patient with us

Isabella's first trip to Ensenada

Hello and welcome to our blog site. I am very new to this so bare with me while I learn how to make this site what I want it to be. I found this blog site through reading someone else's blog. Her name was Christi Thomas and she was a brave warrior who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma 4 years ago. Unfortunately she lost her battle with cancer last week at the age of 9. This is her web site : http://www.christithomas.blogspot.com/

I also want to use this site to give more timely updates on our little Isabella. I still have the other Caringbridge site for her as well. http://www.caringbridge.org/az/isabellaroseugarte/

I would like to let everyone know that Isabella had her scans at the end of August. She had her normal MRI and then she had the Bone Scan as well as the MIBG. We got word that one of the scans showed something different from before but that the MRI didn't show anything different. So it shouldn't be anything to worry about. At her doctor's appointment they tested Isabella's urine and blood. These are all normal tests that she has done every time she visits the doctor's office. The VMA level on her urine was a little high. VMA is a tumor marker that they test in the urine. The nurse told me that the normal level is 3.5 and her urine tested at 3.9 so the nurse emphasized LITTLE high. If it was urgent they would have us come right back to test it, but they said to just go have it tested again in 6 to 8 weeks. She said that the test is a little touchy so we shouldn't worry. But I can't help but worry especially when I read every day about Christi.

Going to the doctor this past time was very different. We were so excited that Isabella is now potty trained and we can have her go pee pee in a cup instead of either sticking a horrible bag on her trying to catch as much as we can while she is uncomfortable with this bag stuck to her private parts. The other way we would get it while she was under for her MRI, they would use a cath and get her urine that way. So this was exciting for us. Wow, we get excited over something so small! =)

Well, I haven't posted on her other site about her little brother.
He was born on July 19th 2006 at 3:37 PM. He was 7 lbs, 11oz and 20 inches long. I had him by c-section which is the way I had Isabella since she was breech. He just had his 2 month appointment this past Tuesday. He weighed in at 12lbs and was about 24 inches long. He is getting so very big! He looks sooooo much like his daddy whom he is named after as well.

Well, I hope you all enjoy this way to keep in touch with our family. Please feel free to leave comments and tell us what you would like to see on here.
